1. Panel: You have three choices when it comes to the belly panel, and it is definitely a personal preference. Try on a variety of jeans to decide if a full panel, mid-panel or underbelly fit is most comfortable for you.

2. Cut: Seasonal changes have made the skinny leg and straight leg a popular cut.  A variety of wide leg, boyfriend jeans and bootleg jeans for everyone's individual taste.

3. Stretch: Maternity Denim does have that little bit more stretch than normal denim, to allow for the changes during pregnancy, therefore fit should be snug and comfortable.

4. Wash: Dark-wash jeans are a little dressier, whereas jeans with a lighter wash or “rough” edges are more casual.  When in doubt, go for a dark wash jean for their slimming and lengthening properties.

5. The right fit: When fitting jeans on a pregnant woman, we always insist that the jeans are firm but not uncomfortable.  This allows for movement and stretch in the denim.  There is nothing worse than buying jeans too big, and having them slide down everytime you sit down or walk.  Sit down in your jeans when you are trying them on to ensure they will be comfortable.
